Africa@2050 Climate Fiction Competition

As part of the SFC funded Africa@2050 project, the Centre for Energy Ethics (CEE) at the University of St Andrews and the Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Studies (C3SS) at the University of Ghana have launched a writing competition under the theme ‘Imagining Climate Futures’.

Open to all nationals and residents of sub-Saharan Africa countries, the competition is accepting submissions of original short stories (max 1500 words) or poems (max 1000 words) and is free to enter. Cash prizes range from £100 to £1000 and all winners and shortlisted entries will feature in a virtual COP26 fringe event.
